(Hebrews 11:1) As You know full well, God, many of the things that are good and true in our lives—because of You and Your love for us—remain unseen to us as broken, flawed, limited human beings. Because of sin and our broken relationship with You, we can’t always see what You’re doing or how You’re working. We don’t have Your eyes to see Your perspective, and often, this leads to doubt, fear, and frustration. That’s where faith comes into the picture. Despite what we can see through our finite lens, You call us to trust in You. You tell us to have confidence in Your love and benevolence because of who You are. You call us to have faith. Father, despite what’s going on in their life right now, I ask You to strengthen and deepen ___’s faith in You. Give them a supernatural endurance to continue walking with You, even in the wilderness, knowing that You are still good. May this time in ___’s life not be characterized by fear or doubt, but instead by growth and maturity. Use the current lack of delight in ___ to prepare them for what’s to come, to push them forward even stronger and more connected to You and Your truth. Father, show ___ the joy and delight still accessible through Your Holy Spirit, even in the darkest of circumstances. Amen.
