(Acts 2:38-39) Lord, You are a God of promises—and not just ordinary, easy-to-fulfill promises. You are a God of powerful, transformation, life-changing promises that never fail, that never disappoint, that never leave us out to dry. When we trust in You, we can do so with confidence, knowing that what You say, You will do. One of those promises—one of those beautiful promises—is that of Your Holy Spirit, our Helper. When You ascended to heaven after Your ministry on earth, You didn’t leave us alone. Instead, You gave us a gift, Your Holy Spirit for us and “[our] families, for those yet to be born and for everyone whom [You] call to [Yourself].” Everything we need for provision, peace, hope, and sustenance can be found through Your Spirit, Father. Thank You for that promise. God, I know Your Spirit lives within ___. I’ve seen it lived out; I’ve seen it pouring out of ___, inspiring them to love and serve Your people. I also know that ___ needs Your Spirit right now—they need Your power, Your hope, and Your sustenance. So God, fill ___ with that Helper. Overpower the negative voices in ___’s head with the calming, loving voice of the Holy Spirit. May the realization of Your promises to Your children be so undeniable and overwhelming inside of ___ that they can’t help but rejoice in Your goodness. Thank You for Your Spirit, Lord. Amen.
